The role:
Embedded Executive Talent Researcher
This fast-growing consumer technology company is building a world-class executive team and is looking for a dedicated Executive Talent Researcher to be the intelligence engine behind its most critical leadership hires. This is a project-based role focused 100% on org mapping and talent insights across the global ads, discovery, and creator/monetization ecosystem.
About the role
Partner closely with the in-house executive recruiting team to define priority companies, teams, and roles across areas such as Ads, Discovery/Recommendations and monetization/platform engineering for large creator ecosystems.
Run deep intake sessions with recruiting and hiring leaders to clarify success profiles, known “must-know” talent, and existing market knowledge, then translate this into clear research roadmaps.
Key responsibilities
Conduct wide-and-deep org intelligence research on target companies: mapping org structures from VP and Director level down to critical ICs, including reporting lines where possible.
Use a blend of public and private signals to understand who does what, who leads which initiatives, and where the true decision-makers sit.
Produce detailed bi-weekly deliverables: org charts or team rosters, longlists of potential candidates, and narrative insights.
Highlight and prioritize the most relevant prospects for each search, giving executive recruiters and hiring leaders a clear rationale for why each person is a target.
Capture and synthesize learnings from exploratory conversations with candidates and industry sources, adding context beyond what is publicly visible.
Requirements
Significant experience in executive research, talent intelligence, or market mapping within high-growth tech, ideally with exposure to ads, recommendations, or creator/monetization products.
Exceptional desk research skills: comfortable navigating fragmented information sources and triangulating signals into clear org maps and talent insights.
Strong analytical and storytelling abilities, able to translate complex org structures into simple visuals and concise narratives for recruiting and business leaders.
High discretion, professionalism, and comfort working on sensitive and confidential projects.
